Planet Chef
How can we follow an eco-friendly diet?

What is Planet Chef project?
How can we follow an eco-friendly diet?
There is a growing concern about the impact of red meat on human health and the environment. Therefore, food systems that are less dependent on natural resources (such as land, soil, biodiversity, water…), are often said to be better for the planet. However, there are many aspects to consider when evaluating the environmental effects of meat. How can we follow an eco-friendly diet and still eat meat?
Planet Chef project is an eTwinning collaboration whose main objective is that students reflect on the values of a healthy and responsible cuisine by focusing on the array of new flavours, plant-based alternatives, culinary techniques and menu options that have recently been introduced into the catering industry. In international groups, they have designed healthy meal plans for the network of eTwinning schools as well as collection of nutritious and tasty recipes, making a sustainable diet more affordable and accessible for everyone.

As a catering management student, I would be able to apply the knowledge gained from the Planet Chef project to create more environmentally friendly and sustainable catering practices."
